Marek Hojda

Board member of Music Export Poland, a foundation established by the ZAiKS Authors Association, board member of board of the European Music Exporters Exchange. In the past, he served as vice president of the ZAiKS Authors Association, member of CIAM ExCo, chairman of the NGO Council to the Minister of Culture. Composer of jazz, pop and rock music, arranger, vocalist.
Marek was born in 1966 in Krakow and graduated from the Jazz Faculty at the University of Music in Katowice in vocal class, arrangements, and compositions. He graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2022 with a certificate in “Music Marketing”.

He was a member of famous Polish bands like De Mono, Emigranci, Surzyn Band.

Throughout his career, Marek cooperated with Polish Radio and TV and worked as a music director for dozens of shows. He is also recognized by his extensive works for children, presenting at the famous TV shows, composing songs and cooperating with artists like Majka Jeżowska or Aida (Armenian artist, platinum record, 2006)

From 1996 to 2002 Marek ran his record label 2Marx and until 2021 he ran his own recording studio Homar Music, collaborating as a music producer with many Polish artists.

With his extensive background in the music industry both as a music creator, artist and businessman, Marek is involved in various initiatives related to new technologies in the music industry such as participating in ZAiKS, ECSA working groups. He is currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics in Music Business at Berklee College of Music.
