Marta de Bazelaire

Lawyer, expert at the International Department of ZAIKS, scientist and author of scientific publications.

She specializes in European Union law, in particular fundamental rights, personal data protection, copyright and new technologies. A leader in international projects aimed at improving the security of personal data transfer between collective management organizations. As part of the AI group established by ZAIKS, she analyzes the impact of artificial intelligence on copyright, in particular the position of the author in the light of technological challenges, the possibility of licensing generative artificial intelligence and the role of collective copyright management organizations in the changing technological and legal landscape.

Marta is a law graduate at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź, a graduate of the School of German Law created in cooperation with the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Łódź and the Centrum für Europäisches Privatrecht (CEP) at the Faculty of Law of the Wilhelms University of Münster, she completed a course in European Union law and international law at the University of Antwerp (cum laude) and a summer school in EU law at the EUI in Florence. She prepares her doctorate in EU law at the Department of European Constitutional Law under the supervision of prof. Anna Wyrozumska, her dissertation concerns the application of fundamental rights by the Court of Justice of the EU.
